Glendo cave and other stuff
« on: September 08, 2012, 08:08:43 PM »
There is a sweet cave in Glendalough just above the cracklands area with a steep wall split by a diagonal finger crack, looks like a cool line, does anyone know what its called and what grade it goes at ? Is it the ''perma dry'' cave I heard people talking about ?? Also I took a walk around the scree on the Big Jim side of the river and I saw lots of nice looking problems and many hard looking projects, does anybody have any info on the stuff that has been done up there ?? Thanks

That crack is People of the Sun, check out the database for it. Pierre did up a topo some time ago, not sure it its around, maybe it would be worth doing another one. The rock isn't as nice over there though.

Thanks, I think I remeber that post by Pierre but it only had the highball slab on that side in it,there's a few cracking looking problems, lots of hard stuff(7c to 8?) some of the easyish ones may be still be undone ?, for example there is a big long slopey traverse into a what looks like a nice hard mantel, it's on a big block which has another problem on it too, its right in the middle of the scree on that side and there is another obvious slabby problem beside it with cleaned holds and slighly pollished footholds, know anything about that one Dave ?? Oh and a Topo would be sweet, if there is info get it out there !!
