Climbing walls around Limerick?
« on: October 12, 2013, 07:12:43 PM »
Hey Folks,
Anyone know what the story is with the UL climbing wall? Is it still there, can non-students join, that sort of thing.
Otherwise, are there any other walls in the Limerick - Clare area that I don't know about?
Cheers,
C

Hei Cian,

Yes, the UL wall is still there, but relocated to another building. The building is right across from the UL Arena, the old maintenance building. Haven't been there since last year. Last year I've joined as a non-student for the winter months and I think they've charged me 30 euros or something. As for the quality of the wall, you'll be the judge of that. I live in Ennis, so I rarely go there so decided that this year, instead of going to Limerick, I would use the diesel to head to the Burren and do some night bouldering as long as it's dry.

There is a small climbing wall in Shannon Leisure Center, just down from Smithstown Industrial Estate as well
