Them Alpkit ones seem to be very good for the price they are - indestructible and cheap - perfect combination! Think you might have to buy them online though...

Alpkit all the way. Not sure they are available at the moment. They are working on a new improved model.

Alpkit are decent and cheap, but they are too hard in my opinion, worth paying a few more quid for a moon mat, I rented a couple of them in Albarracin, they are light and have some sweet features like a fold over mat for scrubbbing off your feet which doubles as a protector for the carrying straps.  I use a red chilli mat meself because they are nice and thick and little softer than the Alpkit pads. Also Alpkit's new pads are not quite as cheap as the old ones were.

I'm pretty happy with my metolius stomp. We also rented a moon pad in Albarracin. It was brand new and completely useless (maybe it was a faulty foam batch or something...I can't believe they are all that soft.).

Don't tell me you're still using that feckin doormat you had from years back. Get a Red Chilli pad, very nice for the larger gentleman or for the not so large but taking a mahoosive drop. Take a loan of mine. Its in my lockup and hasn't seen much action lately.
