Bouldering Discussion / Evening BBQ

What evening suits people best?

I'm about to start work on the new digital version of the guide.
I won't be fundamentally that different in style but I'm happy to makes changes as people see fit.
Typos, grammar, style issues, mistakes, new problems that aren't in the database. Good photos. Improved coverage of areas. Anything.

Bouldering Discussion / Electronic version of the guide
« on: May 28, 2012, 10:33:08 AM »
The guide is now sold out. I won't be doing a reprint as it would take years to sell and I couldn't do a second edition until they were all gone.

The obvious thing is to sell a digital copy in the interim.

I would have mild concerns about piracy but I don't think there is much I can do about it. It seems every solution is hackable so there might be no point trying to protect it and just trusting people.
The price wouldn't be much 5 maybe. And the format would be PDF.

What do people think about this?

Another advantage would be that I could update it as I go along.

Bouldering Discussion / News: New problems in The Scalp
« on: April 10, 2012, 06:36:37 PM »
Over the weekend 3 new problems were climbed in the Scalp. High up on the West side of the valley is a large boulder with a prominient arete and a faded tricolour painted on the face. Often looked at but it had a sloping landing. A group sorted the landing with branches from the forest and climbed 3 problems. The pick of the bunch Eyrie 6c highballs up the arete. Skewer 6a climbing the face on the left and Manical laugh 6? traverses into the arete from the left and takes it on the left hand side. First ascents by John Howard, John Howard and James Gernon.
