Cavalier Attitude was dirty and impossible to clean from the top or bottom so we left it,  looks real nice though. it's climbed on the left side? tough little sit start project on it too. you would also need rope and/or ladders to clean the two project slabs but they look worthwhile. have you explored the opposite side of the valley, before the crag?

footage from a day out in June, finally got around to editing it

3 from the Fraughan Rock, Glenmalure on Vimeo

thats what i was thinking, how can they legally 'fence off' public property but even if you could climb i'd doubt you would want to with that circus going on.

on the plus side Redbull might accidentally create some classic Fr5+ while bolting their cameras into position

looks great, is it towards for whom the bell tolls or more back to black direction? will let you know if im heading up anytime soon, could be nice with a breeze.

slightly off topic Dave but whats the slab problem pictured on the top left corner of the inside cover of the guide? looks like Glendasan maybe? Think its part of an ad for something, sorry guide isnt to hand and its not in the electroinic version

Bouldering Discussion / Re: Dawes v Boulder Pads

in my opinion the recent trend of ground upping routes over many pads is a big step up in style to headpointing, ala Life on Hold, Bloc Party second and third ascents etc.

Dawes likes half the battle to be mental so of course he's going to poo poo pads just like he isnt a fan of sport climbing.

if consumer GPS gets more accurate an augmented reality topo is surely the nirvana for a  guidebook app.  8)

i remember having problems with the old pdf guide on my phone (HTC Desire) and some other pdfs but if it works on the majority of devices then stick with that so.

yep good plan, 5 is quite reasonable given the quality of the info. would it be feasible to offer in different formats? my phone certainly handles epub much better than pdfs
