Bouldering Discussion / Newbie Introduction

Hi there everybody!
I'm James and I am pretty new to climbing in general. Done some wall climbing (Dublin, Gravity & the odd gym with a wall), some time on a friend's self-built loft bouldering wall and a tiny amount of time on actual rocks in Glendalough. I'm now living in the Galway area and I am looking to get involved in any bouldering that might be going on.
In particular I'm interested in finding out about any problems and boulder strewn areas that people might be aware of in Connemara and if there are any climbing groups that would tolerate a newbie member?
