Hi,
The Co-op has almost been in operation for just over 2 year's and we've had a several members move on and there are spaces available.
There are a lot of details on the centre at: http://forum.climbing.ie/index.php?topic=1226.0
However here are the highlights:
* Location is Rathmines: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=100700300356590464263.000445e06eb5ea2e940e6&z=17
* Fees: We've just renegotiated the rent and at the moment its approx €456 a year (which is broken up into three payments although a monthly fee can also be arranged (€38/month). There is a joining fee of €150 for new members to mirror the constructions costs met by existing members - this fee goes into the joint bank account for new holds or anything else that’s needed. The rent above is based on the current membership - it will drop significantly with an extra 5 or 10 people.
* Suitability: to be honest its not really a place for beginners. You'd be far better off up in UCD if you're just learning to climb.
That's all the bad news, the good news is its a great place to train for climbing, you have 24hour x 365day access and you're worlds away from the crowded climbing walls.
For folks that are genuinely interested we can arrange a guest visit so that you can take a look at the place before committing.
If interested contact me on 087-4192583 or email therealchrisrooney@gmail.com
Thanks,
Chris Rooney
