The best spot closest to Galway would be Doolin, if you're desperate you can cycle to Barna there are some nice lines there but it is small and little bit 'messy'. You can download guide to Barna from here http://student.nuigalway.ie/~mountaineering/forum/index.php?a=vtopic&t=104
