I havent braved that nasty walk in to check duff hill yet !! I've got a gut feeling about glenmalure though, I stood beside a nice boulder there last summer which had a few problems on it, I hadnt time to search for more. With so many crags there has to be some boulders, and when I find them its gonna be called "ciaran's area that ciaran found" !! I'll keep ya posted. Oh yeah dave when I started bouldering last year I found the starting block and st kevins slab really useful and fun to learn on, glendasan is a good area for beginners, near the bottom of the new staircase built there is a boulder on an island in the river with a couple of good slab problems and at the bottom of the trail up the hill beside the fence is a dirty sort of black boulder with a good beginners arete and slab problem on it. They would all be cool problems to put in the new boulder guide to bulk up the areas problems for beginners at least. And as a matter of interest most of the way up the trail up camaderry is a huge boulder with a fantastic looking problem, its an overhanging arete with a nasty looking sloping mantle finish, has anyone ever tried it ?? it looks like a hard but fun project !! If I could ask for anything to be changed in the bouldering guide it would be that you put more pictures in it !! Keep up the good work !!
