Hey lads how come there is no bouldering area in glenmalure ?? I drove down there once during the summer and didnt even have to get out of the car, I could see some huge boulders at roadside.
Anyways the other reason I bring it up is because I have a wicklow walking map which shows the location of nearly every individual boulder in the wicklow national park, glenmalure is littered with the little black dots which signify boulders.More importantly when many large boulders are close together over a large area a boulder field is represented on the map. the only three areas which show boulder fields are glendalough, glenmacnass and yes glenmalure !! The boulder field is located half way up the road into the valley, on the left hand side just before carrawaystick waterfall and I believe most of it may be covered by forest. I'm interested to know has anyone ever searched there for boulders or have any information about the boulders or lack of boulders there. Thanks.
